Board certification

A process by which dentists and physicians elect to undergo additional testing and case submission for expert review in their area of expertise, beyond what is required to become a licensed practitioner in that field. Successful completion and certification by the review board is an acknowledgement that the doctor has made a high priority of becoming an expert in their field.
