Survey crowns

A type of prosthetic crown which has been made to serve as a retainer tooth for a removable partial denture. Typically survey crowns include custom features such as flat guide planes which establish a path of insertion and removal for the partial denture, and built-in rest seats into which the denture's metal framework will engage when seated.
